British High Commission finally returns to Islamabad from Abu Dhabi UAE.

Karachi, April 05, 2010: (Euro Reliable Source's Desk, ERSD): Euro Education Consultants' reliable sources have learned that the British High Commission here in Islamabad  has now silently begin its visa processing activities amid the rumors that these arrangements might be temporary and would only remain until summer break is over.  In other words this has been done in order to facilitate the fast visa processing for families planning to visit UK for summer vacations and candidates planning to apply for student visa for the upcoming September 2010 session which is the major one in UK.  However the visa section in the UK Embassy  in Abu Dhabi UAE is no longer open to general public. THE UK BORDER AGENCY (UKBA) HAS RECENTLY ISSUED A STERN WARNING TO ALL PAKISTANI VISA APPLICANTS SEEKING ENTRY INTO UK IN ALL CATEGORIES TO BEWARE OF "CERTAIN" LOCAL "AGENTS" / "CONSULTANTS" TRYING TO LURE THEM INTO VISA SCAM BY OFFERING THEM BOGUS DOCUMENTS SUCH AS "TAILORED" BANK STATEMENTS OR "CHANGED" PASSPORTS (IN CASE THEY WERE REFUSED EARLIER FOR A VISA) FOR A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY.  IT IS FURTHER WARNED THAT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE "DONE" VISA OR "DONE" ENTRY INTO UK OR ANY PART OF EUROPEAN UNION.  IT MUST BE KEPT IN MIND THAT FAILURE TO PRODUCE ORIGINAL/GENUINE DOCUMENTS MAY RESULT NOT ONLY IN REFUSAL OF VISA APPLICATION BUT A PERSON APPLYING WITH FORGED DOCUMENTS WOULD BE PROHIBITED TO APPLY FOR ANY TYPE OF UK VISA FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS STRAIGHT AWAY.

CASE SCENARIO "A"

Please rest assured  that you make two sets copies of the receipt you collected from FedEx and keep them intact after you deposited your visa application at FedEx visa centers.  Now Why is that: Please read the CASE SCENARIO "C"

CASE SCENARIO "B"

Please do not change your previous plans while applying for visit, family-visit or a business-visa to UK; even if you are "dead-sure" you would easily get the visa just because you had visited UK several times before and never even stayed out there for longer than a proposed time-period. Now why is that: (1) Well, call it an ignorance or a certain "sensitive-shift" in UK visa policy by UK Border Agency (UKBA) in recent months for Pakistan, there are 70:30 chances that you might end-up being refused by British High Commission (BHC) either in Abu-Dhabi UAE or in Islamabad Pakistan for no solid reason whatsoever.  So please, be very careful and keep other options "wide-open."

Now the type of copy-pasted magical heading before any objection or refusal the BHC visa-section authorities usually come along with in that refusal letter, in most of the such cases,  is something like this:

"I note that you have previously traveled to the UK and your earlier application provided full details to satisfy the ECO that you had met the requirements of the Immigration Rules (Para 41, HC-395) as a visitor. However, each case must be decided on its individual merits at the time of application."

So beware it is not a sure-shot guarantee that may end-up getting visa / entry clearance to UK as you used to before.

CASE SCENARIO "C"

If you are at FedEx visa center with the intention to collect your passport and you have a good news from the FedEx desk-officer that you have got the visa then please make sure to check the following things on your embossed computerized visa-sticker before getting out of the FedEx visa centre:

1. Your name as declared on your passport.
2. Your Date of Birth
3. Your passport number
4. Your Photograph
5. Your visa validity (category as well)

Why! Because there are frequent cases coming from BHC (say 100 in a month) whereby an applicant has applied UK visa for 5 years category and for example paid Rs. 25,000/-.  But when he / she collected the passport(s) in excitement, went home and browsed on the validity, it was then found out that only six-month category visa was awarded for the price of Pak Rs. 25,000/- (Bingo/Jackpot for BHC).  Please make sure not to leave FedEx if that happens.  You then must return your passport /documents, as they are, to the desk-officer at FedEx with filed complain on a complain card and ask the FedEx authorities to send your passport and other documents back to BHC either in Islamabad or Abu Dhabi UAE for correction.

REASONS:
Following the Australian High Commission's lead in student visa-point-based-system guidelines, the British High Commission is now also verifying your personal Held funds / Jointly held funds / Running Finance periodically for 2-3 times before they finally decide to issue you the visa, so beware of this activity.

GUESS WHAT?:
So, if your passport comes back to FedEx in between 10-15 days after you submit your UK student visa application at FedEx. Sorry; it must be a bad news. You are most probably refused for a student visa under current point-based-system. 

But if your  passport comes back to FedEx in between 6-10 weeks after you submit your visa application at FedEx, then you most probably have a good news; provided that you did not "mess" with your held funds during above mentioned time period.
